Alberto Puerto is an award-winning Cuban classical guitarist, composer, and educator based in Coral Gables, Florida. A graduate of the University of the Arts in Cuba and former concertmaster of the Sonantas Habaneras guitar orchestra, Puerto is celebrated for combining the traditional Cuban School of the Guitar with the Royal Conservatory approach across a wide repertoire, spanning Baroque to jazz-infused popular Cuban music.
In addition to performing at international music festivals and releasing acclaimed recordings such as The Great Cuban Suite, he founded the Alberto Puerto Music School in 2021, where he remains dedicated to cross-disciplinary artistic projects and personalized music education.
