Alberto Puerto is a Cuban guitarist, composer, and arranger known for his genre-defying repertoire and artistic versatility. Based in Miami, he brings classical guitar into dialogue with Cuban popular music, jazz, and contemporary art forms. A passionate educator, he developed his own pedagogical method and founded the Alberto Puerto Music School in Coral Gables, Florida in 2021.

He has performed internationally in settings ranging from chamber ensembles to major festivals such as Art Basel Miami, the Miami International Ballet Festival, and the UDK in Berlin, Germany. His debut album, The Great Cuban Suite (2021), explored Cuban musical heritage through classical guitar and featured collaborations with master percussionists.

Alberto’s newest project, Visa for a Determined Object, is a bold, multi-genre album being released one single at a time throughout this year. The project blends guitar, voice, and experimental sound with contributions from a growing list of collaborators.

He is a member of ASCAP, the Latin Recording Academy, and the Florida State Music Teachers Association.
