Alberto Puerto plays at Shakespeare festival

Versatile Cuban American guitarist Alberto Puerto is known for his potent and sensitive interpretations of diverse repertoire.  His artistic inquiry promotes improvisation and a lustrous freestyle, replete with musical colors and delightful, invigorating ambiances, always sustained by an enthralling interpretive technique, at once making his way in the fusion of classical music with Latin jazz, instrumental music, and Latin American music. The reaches of Puerto's music, both sonically and conceptually, transcend the musical world to connect sound with other arts, thus ennobling the stage experience. His trajectory reveals a contrasting yet complementary repertoire, manifested in a variety of styles from Baroque music to popular Cuban music using elements of jazz, both as a soloist and with various music projects.
