Master Class with Prof. Carlos Serrano

This course is for registered students of Alberto Puerto Music. The master class seeks to provide particular insights into guitar repertoire performance from a technical, expressive and culturally informed perspective. Also, it will facilitate any difficulties that guitar students face through the explicit targeting of fingering selection, supplemental technical exercises and physiological/ergonomic awareness. Finally, this class will inspire students to go beyond the notation and explore the broad range of expressive possibilities that the guitar can offer.

Instructor Biography:

Carlos Serrano is a Colombian-born guitarist. He completed a master’s degree in Classical Guitar at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Carlos is a prize winner of the 19th Annual FIU Concerto Competition and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Florida International University.
