Estampas Sonoras is a vivid three-movement work born from the painterly world of Arturo Rodriguez’s "Arcimboldo’s Ghosts," a series exploring the spectral presence of figures like Mondrian, Cezanne, and Arbus. This score captures the layered textures of Rodriguez's art in sound, from the rhythmically charged “Arturo on the Walls” to the shadowy transformations of “Among Shadows and Ghosts,” culminating in a virtuoso finale, “About the Triptych.” Interwoven with quotes from Bach, Mussorgsky, Turina, and traditional Japanese themes, Estampas Sonoras invites musicians into a dialogue where music, art, and memory resonate as one.
