🎵 Listen Here: Alma Mía

We are pleased to present this version of Alma Mía by Maria Grever, with an extended response to the original version. The track, a freestyle bolero, tells the story of a soul that feels alone in the world, and reaches, silently, for another soul who might understand it.
We dedicate it today to one such soul: the late Sara Bravo-Gonzalez, a quiet hero whose life was marked by courage, loyalty, and deep love for her family and homeland.
Sara was a schoolteacher, a caretaker, a daughter of Asturias, Spain. She lived through exile, illness, and loss, yet never despaired. She fed, nurtured, and consoled everyone around her while enduring her own battles demurely.
She once dreamed of returning to the cliffs of her childhood fishing village in Spain, but life, and duty, held her elsewhere. Her grace lives on in the stories told by her nephew, José L. González, stories of loyalty, sacrifice, and the kind of everyday heroism that rarely makes headlines, but shapes entire families.
We hope this song meets your soul the way hers met ours.
